I have been paddling surfski since 2010 starting with a Stealth Forcefield Spec Lifesaving Surfski after paddling kayaks for most of my life in South Jersey and Delaware. After several swims because of the instability of my first ski (and probably the fact that it was not properly fitted for me as it had a fixed footwell). I sold the ski in exchange for an Epic V8 in 2012. This stable ski instilled a passion for the sport and I soon found myself going towards skinnier boats and now paddle a Fenn Swordfish, a Think Uno Max, and a DD3 Skyfall Spec Lifesaving Ski.

I have placed well in surfski and paddling races all over Florida in the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterways, and Rivers throughout the state. Additionally, I have competed in the Paddle for a Cause 22.5 mile race around Absecon Island (Atlantic City) twice as well as the Cape to Cape Paddle Race this past summer from Lewes, Delaware to Cape May, New Jersey.

I plan to paddle in the Crossing for a Cure (a 70+ mile) paddle from Bimini, Bahamas to Florida this summer to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. My wife (Lisa) and I have an extensive paddling and marathon swimming background (including swimming around Manhattan, NYC 28.5 miles, swimming across the 22.5 mile Catalina stretch in California, a few swimming races in South Africa, an Ice Mile (one mile swim in water under 5 degrees C, or 42 degrees F, without a wetsuit) and circumnavigating several barrier islands in southern NJ including Cape May, Avalon/Stone Harbor, Absecon Island, Atlantic City, Longport, and Margate.

I am thrilled to be a part of Team Hook Tribe!
